Thermodynamic Analysis of Alkali-Roasting Process for Vanadium Extraction Process 바나듐 회수 공정 설계를 위한 염배소 반응의 열역학적 분석

Abstract

In the present study, a thermodynamic analysis was carried out in order to determine the variables affecting the soda-roasting process for vanadium extraction. Prior to the analysis, experiments were performed at varying temperatures and Na₂CO₃ concentrations. A vanadium leaching efficiency above 70% was achieved at 1,273 K with 30 wt.% Na₂CO₃addition. Results of the thermodynamic analysis revealed that the formation of the liquidus Na₂CO₃ phase is the key factor for achieving a high leaching rate of vanadium in the soda-roasting process. Compared to the other reported process conditions, the determining factor was verified from a thermodynamic viewpoint.

본 연구에서는 포천에 부존하는 바나듐 함유 티탄철석으로부터 바나듐을 회수하기 위한 염배소 공정의 설계를 위한 공정 조건에 중요한 인자를 열역학적 관점에서 확인하였다. 열역학 계산에 앞서, 실제 실험을 통하여 온도 및 Na₂CO₃의 첨가 조건에 따른 바나듐의 수침출률 변화를 확인하였다. Na₂CO₃ 30 wt% 첨가 및 1,273 K 열처리 조건에서 70% 이상의 높은 바나듐 침출률을 확인하였다. 실제 실험 결과와 열역학 계산 결과를 토대로 하여, 바나듐 수침출에 있어서 중요한 인자는 액상의 Na₂CO₃ 형성임을 도출하였다. 마지막으로 국외 바나듐 함유 티탄철석에 대한 염배소 연구 결과와 열역학 계산 결과와의 비교를 통하여, 본 연구에서 도출한 액상의 Na₂CO₃ 형성이 최적의 염배소 조건 선정에 있어서 중요한 변수 인자임을 확인하였다.
