Abstract

In this study, the incorporation of artificial intelligence and smart factories in domestic manufacturing industries was examined for determining the means to improve the efficiencies of metallurgical processes and resource-processing operations. Consequently, it was found that the development of new artificial intelligence-based sensors is necessary for collecting data from the individual processes so that the issues associated with the processes can be addressed by employing the collected big data. Furthermore, increasing number of schemes are being developed for incorporating smart factories in domestic manufacturing industries, and the majority of such schemes are aimed at reducing the consumption of energy and raw materials by optimizing logistics systems or introducing automation.

본 연구에서는 국내 제조업에 적용되는 인공지능과 스마트팩토리의 방향을 검토하여 자원처리공정과 제련공정의 효율을 향상시키기 위한 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 자원처리공정이나 제련공정에 적합한 인공지능 시스템을 구축하기 위해서는 각 개별 공정에서 데이터를 수집할 수 있는 새로운 센서의 개발이 필요하며, 여기서 확보한 빅데이터를 활용하여 제조업의 문제를 해결할 인공지능 시스템을 개발해야한다. 최근 스마트팩토리를 국내에서 제조업에 적용하기 위한 시도가 증가하고 있으며, 대부분 물류시스템을 최적화하거나 자동화를 도입해 공정의 에너지나 원료를 저감시키는 방향이 제안되고 있다.
