The low mining recovery rate (about 50%) at the Sangdong mine and the lack of proper plan to mine the veins in hanging wall side in the future, will cause a waste of valuable mineral resources of the nation.Also because the present mining method is not adequate to improve the maintenance of the underground facilities, revision of the mining method became as the urgent problem of the mine in order to improve the recovery rate and to preserve the mineral resources.Therefore, it is recommended in this paper that three mining methods of complete filling and six methods of no filling by considering the various underground conditions of the mine. It is hoped that these recommended mining methods are carefully studied and revised to fit in the circumstances by the staff of the company and that the complete plan is set in a near future.
