Chirp SBP(Sub-Bottom Profiler) is a marine high-resolution seismic system applied in a variety of marine geological and geophysical fields. Commercial Chirp SBP data acquisition systems provide the seismic data of the envelope type without polarity and phase information. In this study, we constructed the new data acquisition system that records the raw data preserving the polarity and phase information. Field data were acquired simultaneously using the newly constructed system and the conventional Chirp SBP system. For Chirp SBP signature estimation, various sweep signatures were generated and compared. After the correlation of seismic data with the estimated sweep signature, swell effect correction and deconvolution were applied. The Chirp SBP section preserving polarity and phase information was generated and the envelope section was produced also for the comparison purpose. The final Chirp SBP section with the polarity and phase information shows better continuity of the sedimentary layers and higher resolution.
Chirp SBP(Sub-Bottom Profiler)는 해양에서 엔지니어링 탐사, 해양환경 연구 및 자원 탐사 등 다양한 분야와 연구에 활용되고 있는 고해상 탄성파탐사이다. Chirp SBP는 일반적으로 자료취득시스템에서 제공하는 위상 정보를 포함하지 않는 엔벨로프 형태의 자료만을 활용하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 극성 및 위상 정보를 포함한 Chirp SBP의 원시 자료를 기록할 수 있는 새로운 자료취득시스템을 구축하였다. 이 시스템의 비교 검증을 위하여 기존의 상용 시스템을 이용하여 동시에 자료를 취득하였다. Chirp SBP 음원의 스윕 파형지문을 추정하여 취득 자료와 상관한 후, 너울 효과 제거와 곱풀기 등의 자료처리과정을 통해 위상 정보를 포함한 Chirp SBP의 단면도와 엔벨로프 형태의 단면도를 제작하였다. 기존의 단면도와 비교 분석한 결과, 지층의 연속성과 해상도가 더 우수한 것으로 확인되었다.
