In 2007, the 1st drilling was performed at the location having high potential as a gas hydrate bearing sediments in Ulleung basin, Korean East Sea. Well log data were obtained from 5 wells and core data were procured from 3 wells, UBGH1-04, UBGH1-09 and UBGH1-10. In this study, petrophysical properties are estimated using well data from UBGH1-04, UBGH1-09 and UBGH1-10. Porosity is estimated by density log and gas hydrate saturation is calculated by sonic log and resistivity log. Estimated porosity and estimated gas hydrate saturation match well with core porosity and core gas hydrate saturation, respectively. Sedimentary facies are estimated by applying the linear discriminant analysis using both well log and sedimentary facies data from core analysis.
2007년 동해 울릉분지의 가스하이드레이트 부존 유망 지역에 대하여 1차 시추를 수행하여 총 5개의 시추공으로부터 물리검층 자료를 취득하였으며, 이중 UBGH1-04, UBGH1-09, UBGH1-10 시추공에서 코어 자료 를 취득하였다. 이 연구에서는 UBGH1-04, UBGH1-09, UBGH1-10 시추공에서 취득한 시추공 자료를 이용하여 가스하이드레이트 퇴적층의 물성을 예측하였다. 밀도 검층 자료를 사용하여 공극률을 예측하였으며, 전기비저항 검층 및 음파 검층을 이용하여 가스하이드레이트의 포화율을 예측하였다. 공극률 예측 결과와 가스하이드레이트 의 포화율 예측 결과가 코어의 공극률 및 코어 가스하이드레이트 포화율의 이상치 구간과 유사한 경향을 나타냄 을 확인하였다. 또한 물리검층 자료와 코어의 퇴적상 분석 자료를 이용하여 선형 판별 분석 기법을 통해 퇴적상 을 예측하였다.
