Recently, a variety of cutting-edge mechanical rock excavators have been developed and broadly usedin tunnels and mines. However, their key technologies are seldom open to the third parties. So this study aimsto summarize the classification and the design concepts for TBMs and roadheaders which are representativemechanical rock excavators. In addition, the classification methodology and the key design parameters of rockcutting tools governing constructability and economics of rock excavation works are introduced. Finally, the useof simulators to train professional operators is also suggested.
최근 들어 암반 굴착을 위한 다양한 첨단 굴착장비들이 개발되어 터널 및 광산에서 널리 활용되고있다. 그러나 기계식 굴착장비들의 핵심 기술이 좀처럼 공개되지 않는 상황으로서, 암반 굴착을 위한 기계식굴착장비들의 이해도를 높이고자 대표적인 기계식 굴착장비인 TBM과 로드헤더의 분류방법과 설계개념을 정리하였다. 이와 더불어, 기계 굴착의 시공성과 경제성을 좌우하는 굴착도구들의 분류와 설계인자들에 대해서도소개하였다. 또한 기계식 굴착장비의 전문 인력양성을 위한 시뮬레이터들의 활용 방안에 대해서도 정리하였다.
