Geology of Wau area consists of Kaindi metasedimentary rock and Edie porphyry. This exploration aims to elucidate the eluvial placer deposit with gold-bearing quartz vein. Considering the morphology of gold grain, fineness and occurrence mode, it is thought that the primary deposit is located near compared with the eluvial placer deposit. And, in order to elucidate the temperature, composition and pressure condition of ore- forming fluid, we practiced the fluid inclusion study on the quartz vein within trench. Homogenization temperature of primary inclusions ranges from 150 to 256℃ with the salinities of 0.2 to 7.2 wt.% NaCl equivalents. As a result of EPMA analysis of placer gold grain, fineness ranges from 432 to 610, indicating the epithermal environment.
