This study describes the methodology of selecting development options for Donghae-1 gas field, which was discovered in 1998, 60 km off the southeast from Ulsan, Block 6-1, Offshore Korea. This study is conducted to find out most reliable and economic development option from all possible development options in the stage of feasibility study. For the study, reservoir engineering data, gas sales specifications, design specification, environmental data and economic parameters are used. The process to select development option is composed of 3 stages. In the first stage, all potential development options\' selection and definition is conducted. After then technical selection for drilling and substructure is done. In the second stage, some favourable process options among all possible process options which are technically feasible are selected and then cost estimate is followed. In the last stage, through the development of life cycle economics on the defined options, optimized development concept is outlined.
