The removal of chlorine from electric arc furnace(EAF) dust is important in the process for recovering zinc by a pyrometallurgical method. In this study, the volatilization behavior of chlorine contained in EAF dust was investigated under ambient air conditions using a weight-loss technique. A thermodynamic study was performed using a chemical program. Experimentally, it was verified that the main volatilization reaction of chlorine was as follows: 2NaCl + PbO + 2SiO2 + Al2O3 = PbCl2(g) + 2NaAlSiO4 At the temperature of 1223 K and the reaction duration of 180 minutes, the volatilization ratio was about 98.3% for chlorine, 99.0% for lead, and 1.3% for zinc.
전기로분진에서 아연을 회수하는 건식제련공정에서 염소의 제거는 매우 중요한 공정이다. 본 연구에서는 전기로분진에서 염소의 휘발거동에 대하여 중량감량법을 이용하여 대기분위기에서 실험이 수행되었으며, 화학프로그램을 이용하여 상평형에 대한 열역학적 조사가 이루어졌다. 실험 결과 염소는 주로 다음 반응식에 의해 휘발하는 것으로 확인되었다.2NaCl + PbO + 2SiO2 + Al2O3 = PbCl2(g) + 2NaAlSiO4반응온도 1223 K, 반응시간 180분의 조건에서 각각 염소의 휘발률은 98.3%, 납의 휘발률은 99.0%, 아연의 휘발률은 1.3%였다.
