Patent Analysis for Synthesis of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate 침강성 탄산칼슘 제조기술의 특허 동향분석: 이재욱, 김성용

Abstract

Precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) finds varied commercial uses, including the manufacture of paper, rubber, plastics, paints, cosmetics, food, pharmaceuticals, etc. In this study, we experimented with several analyses on PCC-making technology patent documents. Abstracts, claims and drawings of the patents for 1975 through 2006 were examined and 161 patents were finally collected. The patents were analyzed according to countries, assignees, international patent classification (IPC), and technologies. Furthermore, citation analysis was carried out for analyzing a technological level. There are 146 and 15 patents about carbonation and solution process respectively, and the top 5 assignee countries are United states, Japan, Korea, the United Kingdom and Finland.

침강성 탄산칼슘은 제지, 고무, 플라스틱, 도료, 화장품, 식품, 의약품 산업 등에서 매우 다양한 상업적 용도를 갖고 있다. 본 연구에서는 상기 침강성 탄산칼슘 제조기술에 관한 특허분석을 실시하였다. 1975년부터 2006년까지 출원된 특허의 요약문, 청구항 도면 검색 등을 통해 총 161건의 관련 특허를 추출하였으며, 국가별, 출원인별, 국제특허분류(IPC)별 그리고 제조기술별 특허출원동향을 파악하였다. 또한 인용분석을 통해 국가별 기술수준을 비교 분석하였다. 침강성 탄산칼슘 제조기술 중 탄산화법에 관한 특허가 146건, 수용액법에 관한 특허가 15건으로 조사되었으며, 상위 5위의 출원국가는 미국, 일본, 한국, 영국 그리고 핀란드 순이었다.
