Abstract
In order to estimate underground water resources in the area of Ulsan Industrial Center, resistivity surveys in both profiling and sounding methods were applied. In the galvanic sounding method, the Wenner array was used throughout the survey. The results of surveys are plotted and computation and estimations are conducted based on the logarithmic curve matching.The results indicate that one might conclude following interpretations:(1) The prospective localities expected water-bearing sand and gravel formations and water-bearing conglomerates:Yun-Am-Dong B3-B6 Yang-Ju-Dong C11(2) The prospective localities expected water-bearing conglomerates:Bae-Yang-Dong “Ja” (“자”) Syun-Am-Dong “Cha” (“차”)(3) The prospective locality that might be expected of water-bearing sandstones:Kal-Hyun-Dong “E6”(4) The localities that hardly be expected of any recovery of underground water resources:Bock-San-Dong San-An-Dong Myung-Chon(5) The prospective localities that might be expected of water-bearing sand and gravel formations.Byung-Yung-Kyo“Da” (“다”) Tae-Wha-Kang F5 and F6
