The electrochemical behavior of gold in thiourea solution was investigated using a rotating disc electrode system and a modified electrochemical cyclone cell at 25℃. Electrochemical polarization data showed that the limiting current density for gold deposition was observed around -0.55 V (vs. SCE), and the diffusion coefficient of gold estimated using Levich equation was 1.63×10-6 cm2/sec. The effects of several variables such as applied voltage, initial gold concentration and electrolyte flow rate were examined using a cyclone cell in order to obtain the optimum condition for electrowinning of platinum. More than 90% of the platinum in solution was recovered within a 80 min. under the optimum conditions.
회전원판전극과 개선된 전해조를 이용하여 저품위 금광석의 습식제련 기술개발의 일환으로 티오요소 용액에서 금의 전해채취 거동에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 기초실험결과 -0.55 V vs. SCE에서 한계전류밀도가 관찰되었으며, Levich 식으로부터 금 이온의 확산계수를 측정한 결과 1.63x10-6 cm2/sec이었다. 유속, 인가전압, 초기 금 농도가 금의 전해에 미치는 영향을 조사함으로서 최적의 전해조건을 도출하였으며, 이 조건에서 80분 이내에 90% 이상의 금을 회수할 수 있었다.
