Amplification factor spectrum, using the observed horizontal ground motions database in the Korean Peninsula, has been obtained and compared with Standard Response Spectrum(Regulatory Guide 1.60), which was suggested by United States Nuclear Regulatory Committee. The observed ground motions from the Yongwol and the Kyoungju earthquake, respectively, which are supposed to represent domestic seismo-tectonic characteristics such as seismic source, attenuation of the propagation medium, and site specific effect, are used for the analysis of amplification factor spectrum. Fourier spectrum of the observed horizontal ground motions are also investigated for noise filtering from various origins. Amplification factors have been calculated by comparing the observed peak ground motions with results from responses to the observed horizontal ground motions only. The comparison has shown that the amplification factors resultant from this study exceed those of Standard Response Spectrum in the frequency ranges above 7-8 Hz. The results suggest that the characteristics of seismic ground motion, which are supposed to represent the domestic seismotectonic characteristics, differs from those of Standard Response Spectrum, especially at higher frequencies range.
본 연구에서는 한반도에서 관측된 수평성분 지반진동을 이용하여 앰플리케이션 스펙트럼을 구하고 이 결과를 미국 원자력 규제 위원회가 제시한 표준응답스펙트럼 특성과 비교하였다. 관측자료로 영월지진 및 경주지진으로부터 관측된 수평 지반진동을 이용하였다. 앰플리케이션 스펙트럼을 구한 결과 고주파수 대역에서 국내 지반진동으로 얻어진 앰플리케이션 스펙트럼은 미국 원자력규제위원회가 제시한 표준응답스펙트럼 스펙트럼 보다 일관성 있고 심각하게 높은 값을 나타내었다. 따라서 국내 원자력 발전소에서 준용하고 있는 표준응답스펙트럼 스펙트럼은 특히 고주파수 영역에서 보수성이 미약하므로 국내 고유의 응답스펙트럼 개발이 필요하다.
