This study describes the possibility of exporting nuclear power plant facilities. It also describes recent world nuclear power plant situation in the world. As of the end of 2004, there were 434 NPPs in operation worldwide, nuclear continues to account for about 16% of the worldʼs electricity generation, keeping pace with the steady growth in the global market. Exports records for nuclear power plant are rare except KEDO. Korea must spread its name as nuclear plant exporter based on small project for strategy at least. World nuclear facilities market are segmented by expanding the operation time like U.S. market, nuclear plant construction like Asia market and maintenance and repair for nuclear power plant holding countries market. It is better for domestic companies that make any consortium with the world major companies as the form of strategical cooperation when they enter the international market. It reduces risk in investment and get synergy effect through technology cooperation. China and south-east Asia are the largest emerging market and eastern European countries are also good future market. Export policies of leading nuclear technology countries such as U.S.A. and Canada as well as Korea are also studied.
