Abstract

This study reviews the technical structure of ISO 23725:2024 for smart mining interoperability and discusses its potential applications in the Korean mining sector. Conventional mining operations incur high integration costs and vendor lock-in due to proprietary interfaces between Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) and Fleet Management Systems (FMS). To resolve this issue, ISO 23725 defines standardized interfaces for real-time communication, map sharing, dispatching, and production monitoring using WebSocket- and JSON-based event-driven architectures. Crucially, the standard formalizes system-level interactions between heterogeneous platforms without prescribing autonomous driving algorithms or safety requirements of individual equipment. Given domestic mining conditions, a phased approach is practical: utilizing the standard as a data reference for R&D test mines linked with digital twins in the short term and adopting it as a national technical guideline in the long term. This framework serves as an important technical foundation for future smart mining operations.

본 논문은 스마트마이닝 상호운용성 표준인 ISO 23725:2024의 기술 구조를 고찰하고 국내 활용 방안을 제안하였다. 기존 광산 현장은 자율운반시스템(AHS)과 차량관제시스템(FMS) 연계 시 벤더 고유 인터페이스에 의존하여 높은 통합 비용과 종속성 문제를 겪어왔다. ISO 23725는 이를 해결하기 위해 웹소켓 및 JSON 기반의 이벤트 구동형 구조를 채택하여 실시간 통신, 지도 공유, 배차 및 생산 모니터링 표준 인터페이스를 정의한다. 본 표준은 장비 자체의 주행 지능이나 안전 운전 세부 요구사항을 직접 규정하지 않고, 이기종 시스템 간 상호작용을 표준화한다는 점이 핵심이다. 국내 여건상 단기적으로는 가상 에뮬레이터 및 디지털 트윈 연계형 R&D 시험광산의 데이터 기준으로 활용하고, 중장기적으로는 국가 기술 가이드라인으로 도입하는 단계적 접근이 현실적이며, 이는 향후 스마트 광산 운영체계 구축을 위한 중요한 기술적 토대가 될 것이다.
