Abstract

To extend the field and reservoir life of offshore gas/condensate fields, process improvements in offshore platforms have been conducted recently. In this regard, an investigation of flow assurance in the pipeline is essential following the changes in the pipeline operating conditions. This study employed a transient multiphase simulation model to characterize flowing features, such as slugging and liquid accumulation, with the application of various gas/condensate injection rates at the export point of the offshore platform. The model was built and validated with field data and then applied to investigate the flow behavior in the pipeline with a flow rate range of 1–8 mmscfd. As a result, three different flow rate groups with their own flowing characteristics were identified, and it was confirmed that the minimum flow rate can be in the range of 8–6 mmscfd. The results can be used in decision-making for platform and reservoir management.

최근 해상플랫폼의 공정개선 작업, 즉 운영압력을 낮추는 작업을 수행함에 따라, 해저배관내 가스/컨덴세이트 유동의 환경도 변화하게 되었다. 관련하여 액체축적현상, 슬러깅 등의 유동안정성 관련된 관내 유동현상들을 규명하는 작업이 필요하게 되었고, 이를 위해 사용소프트웨어를 활용하여 다상 천이거동 모델을 개발하였다. 기존 현장자료를 통해 모델을 검증하였고, 향후 예상되는 다양한 유량(1-8 mmscfd)에 대한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 유동특성에 따라 세 개의 유량 그룹이 도출되었으며, 실현가능한 최소유량은 8-6 mmscfd유량 범위에서 결정될 것임을 확인하였다. 이는 향후 다양한 조건들과 결합하여 플랫폼 운영의 의사결정의 요소로 활용될 수 있다.
