Abstract
The crude oil production in U.S. has decreased down to 6.78mil.b/d in 2008 after reaching the peakof 9.37mil.b/d in 1972. However, it\'s production has increased again to 11.64mil.b/d in 2014 due to the resilienttight oil production. For the abundant resources potential and phenomenal technological advance related to shaleresources, the world tight oil production would be continued increasing from 3.5mil.b/d in 2013 to 8mil.b/d in2030, and producing countries also be extended from U.S. & Canada, to the outside of North American countries.This growth of the global tight oil production works as the main cause to lower the current oil price, and canbe the main factor also, to stabilize the price in long term bases.
’72년 9.37백만b/d를 정점으로 석유생산이 감소하던 미국은 ’08년 6.78백만b/d로 최저점을 기록한 후,’14년 11.64백만b/d로 생산이 급증하였다. 이러한 미국의 석유증산은 셰일자원 개발 기술 혁신에 따른 타이트오일의 생산 증가에 기인하고 있다. 타이트오일은 풍부한 부존량과 기술혁신에 따른 생산비용의 감소로 생산 증가세가 유지되어 ’13년 350만b/d였던 생산량은 미국, 캐나다 등 북미지역 이외에 러시아, 아르헨티나, 중국 등상업적 생산국이 확대되며, ’20년 500만만b/d, ’30년에는 약 800만b/d 까지 생산량이 급증할 것으로 예상되고있다. 이러한 타이트오일의 공급 증가는 현재의 낮은 유가의 원인으로 작용하고 있으며, 중장기적으로도 석유가격 상승을 억제하는 중요한 요소로 작용 할 것으로 보인다.
