Abstract
A new database program called DrillerGeoDB was developed to manage drilling data for the oil and gas industry. Many types of drilling reports and previous drilling database systems were reviewed to characterize the elements of drilling information, An effective design of relational database was suggested to organize the elements effectively. DrillerGeoDB provides well-organized graphic user interfaces for creating, editing, exporting, querying and visualizing the drilling data as well as for interchanging data with a spreadsheet such as MS-Excel.
본 연구에서는 석유시추 자료의 효과적인 관리를 위해 활용할 수 있는 윈도우 기반의 데이터베이스 프로그램 DrillerGeoDB를 개발하였다. 국내외 석유시추 조사 보고서와 해외 선진 개발사례를 비교・분석하여 석유시추 데이터베이스에 포함될 정보요소들을 특성화하였으며, 프로젝트 일반, 지층, 시추/검층, 공정평가 등의 정보들을 유기적으로 연계할 수 있는 관계형 데이터베이스 구조를 제시하였다. DrillerGeoDB 프로그램은 사용자 편의의 인터페이스를 통해 석유시추 자료의 입출력과 검색, 그래프 작성, 보고서 출력 등의 기능을 제공하며, Excel 등의 스프레드시트 프로그램과 손쉽게 자료를 호환할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서 수행한 석유시추 자료의 정보요소 특성화와 시범 데이터베이스 프로그램의 개발 성과는 향후 국가 석유시추 데이터베이스 구축을 위한 기초연구 자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.
