Recently, world’s mineral market and mining environment is faced with sudden changes. Since 2003, the world demand for minerals have increased due to world economy, especially in China, most of mineral prices rose suddenly. As environmental issue is more critical in these days, mining activity has got harder. In 2007, Korea Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Energy (MOCIE) established ‘Korea National Mining Industry Promotion Program’, and suggested several mining policy priorities for advancing the korea mining industry and securing the domestic mineral supply and rational mining pollution control.
최근 국내외 광업환경은 큰 변화를 겪고 있다. 2003년 이후 중국 및 세계 경제의 활황으로 광물자원 수요가 급증하며, 공급부족 및 가격폭등이 지속되고 있으며, 환경의 중요성에 대한 인식이 높아지며 광업활동에 어려움이 높아지고 있다. 산업자원부는 2007년 <국내광업발전기본계획(2007-2016)>을 수립하여 국내외 광업환경의 변화와 국내 광업의 문제점 분석을 통해 원료자원의 안정 확보와 광해방지의 제고를 위한 다양한 정책과제들을 제시하였다.
