Abstract
Fabrication of ferrovanadium by alumionthermite process was investigated in terms of reaction variables when vanadium pentaoxide and iron scrap were used as starting materials. A vanadium recovery was increased with an increasing of Al and Fe amount in the range of 90-110% of stoichiometric ratio. The V recovery was maximized at the 1:1 ratio of CaO and Al2O3. At the optimum conditions, ferrovanadium with 71.1% vanadium content, was recovered over 90% by aluminothermite process when 20% of spent catalyst was added with additional heat supplied by gas burner.
알루미늄을 탈산제로, 철을 합금제로 사용하는 열환원법에 의하여 페로합금을 제조하는 연구를 수행하였다. Al 열환원법으로 고품위 페로바나듐을 제조할 때, Al과 Fe의 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 V의 회수율은 증가하였으며, Al2O3에 대한 몰 기준으로 CaO을 100% 첨가하였을 때, V 회수율이 최대가 되었다. V 함유 폐촉매 20%를 V 정광과 혼합하고 Al 열환원 가스버너에 의하여 보조 열을 가하였을 때, V 함량 71.1%의 고품위 FeV를 제조할 수 있었고 이때, 전체적인 V의 회수율은 90% 이상이었다.
