Kinetics of the volatilization reaction of chlorine contained in electric arc furnace (EAF) dust was investigated using a weight-loss technique in the reaction temperature range of 973~1223K under air condition. The volatilization trend of chlorine was almost same with that of lead contained in the EAF dust. As an example of the volatilization ratio of chlorine, more than 95% of chlorine contained in the EAF dust was volatilized at the reaction temperature of 1223K and the reaction time of 90min. Jander equation was found to fit well the volatilization rate data over the entire temperature range. The volatilization reaction of chlorine is controlled by solid-solid diffusion and has an activation energy of 188.3kJ/mol(45.0 kcal/mol).
전기로 분진에 함유되어 있는 Cl의 휘발반응속도를 반응온도 973~223K, 대기분위기에서 중량감량법으로 조사하였다. 실험결과 Cl의 휘발경향은 전기로 분진에 함유되어 있는 Pb의 휘발경향과 비슷한 것으로 나타났다. Cl의 휘발률은 반응온도 1223K, 반응시간 90분에서 95% 이상 이였으며, 전체 실험 온도범위에서 Cl의 휘발반응속도 데이터는 Jander 식에 잘 따르는 것으로 분석되었다. Cl의 휘발반응은 고체-고체 반응에 의한 확산율속 반응이며, 활성화 에너지는 188.3kJ/mol(45.0kcal/mol) 이였다.
