Analysis of Patent Trend for ICT-based Underground Mine Safety Management Technology ICT 기반 지하광산용 안전관리 시스템 기술에 대한 특허동향 분석

Abstract

This study analyzed the patent trend for ICT-based underground mine safety management technology. Using related keywords, this study searched for patents open or registered, from 1980 to 2017, in Korea, United States, Japan and European Union, and used effective patents for the trend analysis. Patent applications have been made through the US since 1980. The US patent application has led to a shift in overall applications. Considering the overall patent application trend, the technology is considered to be in the stage of growth. Because major patent applicants are engaged in patent activities only in their own markets, Korea will be able to compete in overseas markets if it develops innovative technologies and strategically approaches to secure domestic and foreign patents.

본 연구에서는 ICT 기반 지하광산 안전관리 시스템과 관련한 특허동향 분석을 수행하였다. 관련된 키워드들을 사용하여 1980년부터 2017년까지 한국, 미국, 일본, 유럽연합에서 공개되거나 등록된 특허들을 검색하였고, 유효 특허들을 동향분석에 사용하였다. 주요 기술들의 특허출원이 1980년부터 미국을 통해 이루어지고 있으며, 미국의 특허 출원에 의해 전체 출원의 증감이 주도되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 전체적인 특허출원 동향을 볼 때 해당 기술은 성장기 단계에 있는 것으로 판단된다. 주요 출원인들이 자국 시장에서만 특허활동을 하고 있으므로, 우리나라도 혁신적인 기술을 개발하고, 국내외 특허 확보를 위해 전략적으로 접근한다면 해외시장에서도 경쟁할 수 있을 것이다.
