Abstract
The surface properties of untreated crystalline silica, untreated fused silica, and treated fused silica with silane coupling agent were estimated using adsorption of various polar and non-polar probes on these surface by Inverse Gas Chromatography(IGC) method. The surface of untreated and treated silica were characterized with two parameters of KA and KD, which indicate acidity and basicity of solid surface respectively. Acid component was detected on the untreated crystalline and the fused silica surfaces. But the surface properties of treated fused silica with-Glycidoxy propyl trimethoxy silane(A187) and-Amino propyl triethoxy silane(A1100) showed slight basic, and those of treated fused silica with-Methacryloxy propyl trimethoxy silane(A174) and-Mercapto propyl trimethoxy silane(A189) showed amphoteric.
실란 커플링제로 표면처리한 용융실리카와 처리하지 않은 결정 및 용융실리카의 표면특성을 다양한 극성 및 비극성 탐색질을 흡착시켜서 Inverse Gas Chromatography(IGC)에 의해 조사하였다. 이들의 표면특성을 전자받개계수(KA)와 전자주개계수(KD), 두가지 함수에 의해서 측정하였다. 그 결과 표면처리하지 않은 결정 및 용융실리카의 표면특성은 산성을 나타내었다. 그러나-Glycidoxy propyl trimethoxy silane(A187)과-Amino propyl triethoxy silane(A1100)으로 처리한 용융실리카의 표면특성은 약한 염기성을 나타내었고-Methacryloxy propyl trimethoxy silane(A174)와-Mercapto propyl trimethoxy silane(A189)로 표면처리한 용융실리카의 표면특성은 양쪽성을 나타내었다.
