Abstract
Leaching of iron with oxalic acid was conducted so as to remove the iron from domestic clay of Jang San area. The effect of oxalic acid concentration, solid density, and reaction temperature on the leaching of iron from clay of Jang San area was investigated. It was found that high reaction temperature as well as low solid density was appropriate for high leaching efficiency of iron. However, as far as the effect of oxalic acid on the leaching of iron was concerned, high concentration of oxalic acid was observed to suppress the leaching of iron from clay. When clay of Jang San area of -100mesh was leached at 100℃ with oxalic acid of 0.19M, the content of Fe2O3 was reduced from 1.06wt.% to 0.05wt.% and the whiteness was enhanced from 69 to 89 while the leaching of aluminum from clay was not found.
국내 장산지역의 점토에 함유되어 있는 철분을 제거하기 위하여 수산에 의한 탈철실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과 광액농도가 낮을수록 그리고 반응온도가 높을수록 철의 탈철속도 및 탈철율이 증가하고 있으며, 점토의 입자크기가 작은경우(-100mesh)가 입자가 큰 경우보다(16/100mesh)경우보다 탈철효과가 더 양호하게 나타나고 있다. 한편 수산농도의 경우 농도가 증가함에 따라 탈철속도 및 탈철율이 반대로 감소하고 있다. 대체로 장산지역 점토를 100mesh 이하로 마광한 후 광액농도 200g/ℓ, 교반속도 500rpm, 온도와 수산의 농도는 각각 100℃ 및 0.19M 정도로 하여 침출하면, 탈철율은 96% 정도로 정광중 Fe2O3 함량은 0.05wt.% 정도로 감소하고 백색도는 69에서 89로 증가하고 있으며, 알루미늄은 거의 침출되지 않았다.
