Abstract
In order to depress the chemical and biochemical degradation of acidic tailings, pH control by the mixing of limestone has an effect on the recovery of contaminated mine area. But there is a wide difference between the simple pH measurements and the amount of acid in the soil because of buffer action of the soil. Accordingly, the amount of limestone required to neutralize the acidic tailings can not be calculated from the pH measurements, hence another method is needed to determine the amount of limestone required for neutralization. Considering effects of agitation and agitation time, and a kind of solution to make slurry, this paper presents a standard quantitative analysis method of acid in abandoned mine tailings and calculation method to determine the quantity of limestone using specific surface area of limestone obtained from measured absolute acid quantity.
토양은 오랜 기간 풍화하였을 때 그리고 유기질이 많을 때 부식토가 증가하여 토양의 완충력이 커진다. 따라서 토양의 산성도는 간단히 pH로 나타낼 수 있으나, 산의 절대량은 단순히 측정된 pH 값으로 환산할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 폐광산 지역의 오염 토양 특히 산성을 띠고 있는 광미에 대하여 여러 가지의 적정방법을 시행하여 간단하고 안정한 산 정량의 측정 방법을 표준화 하였으며, 측정된 절대 산량으로부터 환산한 석회석의 비표면적을 이용하여 산성 광미를 중화하는데 필요한 석회석량을 결정할 것을 제안하였다.
