Oxygen and carbon isotope compositions, and trace elements such as Mn, Fe, Zn, Sr and Na were analyzed for the limestones distributed in Okcheon belt by mass-spectrometer and ICP-MS. The limestones are divided into two groups; one is a white and recrytallized (WLs), and another is dark and grayish (DLs). There is a slight tendency to be lower δ18O values in WLs which was hydrothermally altered. The δ18O value of 18‰ in the Gwangwon area distinguishes WLs from DLs. 13C-average values of each WLs are a slightly larger range than those of DLs. However, 13C-average values of WLs and DLs in each area show to be very narrow range. The proofs of hydrothermal alteration in WLs are considered as following; 1) the δ18O values of WLs are low at the places where limestones are recrystalized, and/or near contact parts between WLs and granitoids, and 2) Mn and Fe contents are enrich in the above samples. δ18O-13C and δ18O-Mn are slightly positive correlations, however, there are no characteristic relationships among other elements.
