Abstract
Vibration mill is widely used for the grinding of inorganic materials because of little contamination and rapid reduction in particle size. In this study, effects of sample charge, ball charge, grinding time, vibration width as well as ball size on grinding characteristics of calcite by vibration mill is investigated. The results of XRF and XRD showed that the raw ore with 0.28%SiO2, 0.11%Al2O3, 0.06%Fe2O3, 54.89%CaO was mainly composed of calcite. According to grinding experiment results, optimum condition for grinding of calcite was obtained at sample charge of 250g, ball charge of 60% in volume, vibration width of 9㎜. When the calcite was ground at the optimum condition for 10 minutes, the average particle size was 13.15㎛.
진동밀은 적은 오염과 빠른 분쇄능으로 인해 무기물의 분쇄에 폭넓게 이용되어지고 있다. 이 연구에서는 진동밀의 시료 장입량, 볼 장입량, 분쇄시간, 진동폭 그리고 볼 크기에 따른 분쇄특성을 조사하였다. XRF와 XRD에 의한 결과로 0.28%SiO2, 0.11%Al2O3, 0,06%Fe2O3, 54.89%CaO 조성이고, 원광은 calcite였다. 분쇄실험결과 시료 장입량 250g, 볼 장입량60vol.%, 진동폭 9㎜가 calcite의 최적의 분쇄조건 이였다. 이때 10분간의 분쇄 조건에서 평균 입도는 13.15㎛ 이였다.
