Abstract
CO2-EOR (carbon dioxide enhanced oil recovery) is one of the EOR (enhanced oil recovery) techniques, and since the early 1970s, numerous researches have been made about pilot tests and field-scale CO2-EOR projects. Injection schemes of CO2-EOR can be classified as continuous CO2 injection, WAG injection, cyclic CO2 injection, and hot CO2 injection, and analyses on main characteristics and field applications for each injection scheme were performed in this study. Among analyzed field cases, all cases except for Bati Raman field are in operation on miscible CO2-EOR, and they have a huge difference in the source of CO2. Therefore, it is needed to analyze CO2 supply conditions in identifying CO2-EOR application possibility, and investigation on the field cases technically categorized will be utilized in designing a CO2-EOR project.
