Abstract

The 2nd drilling campaign for exploration and appraisal of gas hydrate has been performed for 84 days from July to September 2010 in the East Sea, Korea. LWD drilling, non-pressurized coring, pressurized coring and wireline logging were performed using Fugro Synergy, a drillship for deepwater drilling and the performance showed more improvement in drilling operation than in 2007. This study aims to suggest the improvement and efficient processes for the future operation by the technical review and comparison with the operation in 2007.

국내 동해상의 가스하이드레이트 탐사 및 평가를 위한 2차 시추가 2010년 7월부터 9월까지 약 84일 동안 진행되었다. 심해시추가 가능한 Fugro사의 Synergy호를 이용한 이번 작업시 LWD시추, 비압력 및 압력 코어링, Wireline Logging이 수행되었으며, 2007년에 비해 향상된 운영상 결과를 보였다. 본 연구에서는 2010년 가스하이드레이트 시추 운영 전반에 대한 설명과 2007년 시추 작업과의 기술적 검토, 비교를 통해 향후 시추작업을 위한 개선점 및 효율적 공정 방안을 제시하였다.
